If there is a bike in the house there is some need to learn to fix it and do it on the run. Bikes, just like all other vehicles, have a tendency to go out of order, and most of the time it happens when you are out of the city in a dead zone where your cell doesn’t work. There are two options open to you, either to walk home or to fix the bike yourself. We think the last is a much better variant so here is what you need to know when mending your bike in the wild.

If you are without any instruments first try to see what happened. That is why you will require sprecial bike accessories If it’s the brake and you are sure of it, there is little chance to do anything about it so the best thing to do is to go and find a spot where you can call a cab or bus station from which you can get back to the city. If you have a flat tire, make sure you remember to bring your pump with you. There are excellent road and trail kits you can get. The best advice is to keep your bike in excellent condition always and then serious breakdowns will be ruled out. Go for a course in fixing your bike or learn from a friend. This will save you hundreds of dollars that you can spend any other way you like.
