Is it possible that the reclusive Esteban, spotted one post ago training at 12,000 feet, is the athlete in today’s  Solana Beach Triathlon flashing the once-popular “Hang Loose” sign?

Straight Up

When we last spotted mercurial man-about-the-shop Esteban, he was dumpster diving in post 82.

Here he is earlier this week at the top of the world.

News from the battlefield…..

Published by Gordon under News, Events, Uncategorized

The Service Department has been uber-busy lately. Some can say it’s because of the gas prices, some might even say it’s because of the Tour De France being on TV. I think it’s because people love riding their bikes and there is no time like the present. Bring your bikes in for a summer clean or checkup! Here is a peek into my world…. Repair pickups

So this guy walks into the shop today….

img_0200.JPGSpecialized Tarmac SL2 Pro  saying that he doesn’t need anymore bikes. This is Matt Bigos‘ new road bike. This adds to his already stacked list of bikes (2008 S-Works Transition, 2008 Langster, 2007 Look 486, 2008 Allez “trainer bike”, etc.) To say he like Specialized bikes would be an understatement.  Thanks Matt! Checkout his site mattbigos.com.

One Service Course professional keeping his chops up at the San Diego Century. This rider, once properly shod, duct-taped and reprimanded after a shoe blowout in minute 8 of the event, came by the store to express her gratitude to the bearded uber-tech who swooped in to save her day.

Remember the guy in the pro kit hanging around the shop and tearing up North County group rides about 6 weeks ago?

Well, he got some new kit yesterday.

Do Not try this at home!…..

Published by Gordon under Uncategorized

This was performed in a controlled environment by professionals…..Matt Bigos is an extreme athlete. When we work on his bike we need to make sure it can handle many extreme conditions. His bike is race ready, race proven and racing right now. Good Luck Matt!                                                                                                                                                    Do Not Try This At Home.
